Essentially, a good moisturiser contains emollients, water binding agents (humectants – ingredients that attract water to the skin and help to keep it there).

Protat Moisturising cream incorporates:

  • Liquid paraffin, a natural oil derived from the earth, that is considered an extremely safe emollient due to its inert nature.
  • Glycerine is used as the humectant; it is present in all natural lipids (fats) and enables the skin to regulate the amount of water retained to maintain the skin’s natural moisture balance.
  • Aloe Vera with its widely documented soothing qualities assists to calm the epidermis.
  • Octyl methoxycinnamate and Butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane are emollients and moisture loss.
